Darling, whom I love with everything in me,

I begin to understand and I have come to see.

That you’re everything I need and that you’re everything I hold,

With you I wish to be and eventually grow old.

And as the years pass and I begin to comprehend,

My gratitude will last, my love will not descend.

I love you, ‘Summer night’,

More than what I’ve come to know,

I need you by my side of you I can’t let go.

This loneliness consumes me and I just can’t adjust,

To kiss you and caress you truly is a must.

This feeling from my heart to you I will relay,

It’s tearing me apart that you’re not here today.

You’re still my treasure; you’re still my muse,

It’s still a pleasure to be with you.

I cannot wait until you’re free and together we will share,

It’s just our child, you and me, and both our lives to spare.
