The summer winds carried with them friend after friend,

We flew through the glittering evening air like dandelion seeds --

Pretending that those nights would never end.

Somehow we managed to fulfill each others' needs,

Forgetting all about the yesterdays and the tommorows

The could be's, should be's and our sorrows.

Our lungs breathed in every new thought, new idea and new concept,

We grew with each other in height and I guess

In retrospect it was fate that scattered us again like ashes into the wind.

We were windborne and just the same way we were torn.
