Life as we know it,

Fairness it is not.

Struggles exists,

As much as the goodbyes we say.

Sticks and Stones break bones,

?Hatred hurts others.

Heartbreak kills the heart,

Strength from within,

Reminds us to face the fears.

One day at a time,

Strength takes over.

Fear drains from our souls,

In its place is warmth.

Brave a smile we must,

To overcome.

To overcome,

Is strength.

For strength,

Is all we have; as life is so fleeting.
