A One Track Mind

I have always been determined. Whatever I have set my sights upon to achieve, I have done so. This has been both good and bad.

I set my sights on the beautiful boy in highschool and he became mine. I did not think I deserved him and lost it all.

I wanted to be as far away from here as I could get. So I married a military man and we left. A few years later after the excitement and unkind words settled in, I left.

I set my sights on finding a decent mentor for my son and I did . Until he turned out to like boating and alcohol more than people, so we left.

I set my sights on raising a good young man. One who is kind and educated; I did and he is.

Now I turn my eyes towards myself. Trying to make peace with my choices and live in my own way. It has taken a long while but I am beginning to find my stride and am setting my sights -on myself.
