The Quilt

You are a quilt, taking a colorful piece from every part of your life

Wrapping up and emitting warmth

Someone to laugh and play on

Someone to cry and ball up on

Welcoming people by the swarms

Something made with lots of love

Something made with one stitch at a time

Even you can become dirty and sad

Someone I can make tents with

Someone who can read with me in the moonlight

Messily made made in the morning

Neatly stacked when there’s guest

Hung outside to absorb the sunshine

Oops, forgotten in the rain

That’s ok you dry quickly
