She said goodbye feeling unsure,

He’s a good man; his heart is pure.

But she’s not ready,

To move on steady.

His eyes she’ll never forget,

This decision she might regret.

But she’s afraid; she’s been in pain,

Her heart is cured but she’ll refrain.

His arms so manly and too sublime,

To let him go will be a crime.

But she’s accustomed to being alone,

She thought she liked being on her own.

She’s a strong woman but after all,

There’s nothing that will break her fall.

To let him go; a choice unwise,

Perhaps this hurt is now my price.
