When June rolled around,

summer break had come,

everyone was happy,

except for some.

My break would be shitty,

I knew it from the start,

me and my friends,

had drifted apart.

My days were wasted,

playing video games,

kicking ass,

and taking names.

I had never been this lonely,

it felt like shit,

that I was weak,

I was afraid to admit.

July had come,

summer break was coming to a close,

I needed to go out,

that is what I chose.

At a party one night,

drinking with a few guys,

I turned around,

saw a lovely pair of thighs.

A stunning girl,

brown curly hair,

my heart swelled,

I was grasping for air.

I knew at that point,

I wanted her to be mine,

only problem was,

I had no spine.

Too afraid to approach her,

too awestruck to leave,

became so nervous,

I was about to heave.

She walked toward me,

must’ve seen me stare,

I’m not a religious man,

but I said a quick prayer.

We ended up talking,

all through the night,

walked home to my place,

in the summer moonlight.

We exchanged numbers,

to keep in touch,

I had missed this feeling,

so damn much.

We started hanging out,

as often as we could,

wish the entire summer,

had been this good.

A few days before school started,

we were officially together,

now awaiting,

colder weather.

It’s been so long,

since my heart felt like this,

she fills me,

with absolute bliss.
