I'm truly happy for you

That you found your love

The one for your life

The one

that you'll share everything with

Truly

I wish you the best

But I wish you didn't have to leave me

Here, alone

No, I am not looking for love

But if that lets me stay closer to you

Then maybe I'll look

for a partner, a companion

someone to hold me

when I'm lonely

But for what?

Just so

I don't have to say goodbye

In the long run,

What does that do for me?

Nothing

But leave a larger

void

than there was before

I miss you

But asking you to come back

would be torture

on me

and you

You're happy

Ecstatic

All smiles

You love the new you

the life ahead of you

and

the man you've entrusted

your life to

I like him too

He's just perfect for you

everything you need

He'll take care of you

support you

and love you

While I stay on this side of the fence

and watch from afar

I'll miss you

The loneliness I feel

doesn't come from being unloved

rather from losing the friend

who saw things from my side

losing them to the next stage of life...

marriage

Unable to hold them back

and unwilling to do so

I want you to move forward in life

But I want you take me along

And yet, I don't want to take that step

Stuck at an impasse

As I hand you to him

To have and to hold

I wish you the best

And I hope you will always be

happy

Just as you are now

But I still wish

You wouldn't leave me

Here alone
