I crawl to you.

From sea to shining sea.

Wrap you in tender arms.

And love did we.

Patience in a man.

Wears thin as sand.

Yet , I keep on crawling.

On my blistering hands.

A September sky.

Bore all of the lies.

A million secrets kept hidden.

From nineteen - seventy - nine.

Over three decades.

I wonder why.

I throw myself at your mercy.

I can't find the time to cry.

Yet , I keep on crawling to you.

Counting every mile

as it passes by.

A man with no backbone.

No place to call his home.

He throws gifts of love at her feet.

But , these legs force them to roam.

Blue eyes as bright as Venus.

Lures my nieve heart.

Without reason.

From sea to shining sea.

I have traveled on my knees.

Hoping that your other half

will find me.

And finally set me free.

Until then I crawl to you.

Like a child learning mobility.

Giving happiness to those who betray me.

Has been my only ability.

Through the acid rain

and everlasting gaze.

I pray a white soul of falling victims.

Will stop this greed parade.

Not knowing what to do.

I love you through and through.

Although each day is new.

I only wake to crawl to you.

At least hoping for a sign .

That this emptiness is mine.

Love is vain.

I pray you don't take everything.

If I am left with nothing.

I know my time is due.

Until that moment comes.

I will always crawl to you .
