I Didn't See It Ending Like This

I can't leave the fear behind me

It only comes an goes

I can't love you quite entirely

I only lost you before we began

I know nothing about you

The day I let you in

And now I remember almost nothing

That you ever tried to explain to me

So you can go

It's here, I will stay

I'll rot here, in pieces

Fragmented off from reality

You're not my hopes

You're not my dreams

And you're certainly not on the same page as me

You'll only drag my head down the gutter

And I'll forget what you looked like

And I'll want you only because of that

But you'll remember my deformities

And flaws in my making

In who or what I am

And when I dream of love some night

She obviously won't be you

You're incapable of that

For an acquaintance you don't wanna have

I'll wipe the news of you

Clean of social media

And you'll never knew I had a thing for ya

Which is bullshit, it's true

Because if you said what you said to me

You already knew
