Looking back through wasted time .

Breaking hearts was such a crime.

I knew the sadness would lure me in.

Like a funnel wind

I'm in a spin.

As I stare beyond.

The night's thick fog.

I hear her voice

like a familiar song.

Reaching out

for an unseen hand.

I disappear in this final stand.

The moon is rising

behind the big black clouds .

As the lightning flashes

With a silent sound.

I kiss my ghost

and love my fear.

Yet. Only the storm

produces tears.

Dream of vision.

Of my love who's sleeping.

I await her wake.

Like secrets worth keeping.

A crowd of honor

leaving memories at dusk.

To a corpse of beauty

that will return to dust.

One for all

And all for one.

They greet new souls

above the sun.

Love and smiles

forever mattered.

Leaving the left behind.

Hearts that shatter.

In the cold of December.

I can only remember.

The love of wishing .

To return the missing.

So far gone.

Beyond the beyond.

She calls to me

like that familiar song.

Somehow I hear it.

In my mind.

Which sheds some happiness

one last time.

A wonderful love

and a loving mother.

Giving me peace

through her

tears of thunder.

Knowing she's there.

In days like the others.

I rest my tired heart.

And enter an evening of slumber. .
