The hands on the clock tick faster now,

Days blended all together like a smoothie.

Gotta make my mark, just don’t know how,

I don’t wanna flicker and fade into the background.

When the last light of life fades away,

How are you going to remember me?

I put it all out there for you on display,

Was that enough to solidify my place?

I don’t wanna fade into the background,

I always wanna be somewhere in your mind.

Throw my words out there before I’m drowned,

And reduced to another voice from the past.

Even if I can’t fix our earth,

At least I can change your whole world.

I just wanna help you find your worth,

Make an impact, even if it’s that small.

Right now I’m speaking across time,

As my words live on in cyberspace.

I’m not ready to fade, just reached my prime,

I don’t wanna fade into the background.

The hands on the clock tick faster now,

Days blended all together like a smoothie.

Gotta make my mark, just don’t know how,

I don’t wanna flicker and fade into the background.
