FADE IN:

Tv screens flickering like oversized mosquitos, various news overlapping with one another. Byron tries to catch them all as much as he can, in spite of his attempts to pay attention to all of them.

Conflicts in the Middle East still continue as…

Police officer shot in an attempted bank robbery by…

Prostitute found overdosed in an alley…

What was the mysterious creature that nearly killed Sol?

Someone walks behind him and stabs their cigar stick. He doesn’t respond.

YOSHIKO

Can’t sleep?

He still doesn’t respond. She sighs and sits next to him.

YOSHIKO

So, anything new?

BYRON

(monotone)

Nothing but good news.

YOSHIKO

(sarcastic)

Indeed.

(turns off the TV)

Tell me, have you found anything useful?

He stands up and showcases a selection of books, all about the Cthulhu Mythos.

CUT TO:

INT. POLICE STATION, DECKARD’S DESK – NIGHT

Deckard opens a book that showcases the original drawing of Cthulhu by H.P. Lovecraft while Barga prepares coffee.

DECKARD

We’ve got it wrong.

BARGA

Hm?

DECKARD

What are the essential elements of the Mythos?

BARGA

Last time I checked, there is a Necronomicon, Cthulhu, and the works are public domain.

DECKARD

First appearing in 1924’s “The Hound,” the Necronomicon is the grimoire of the mythology, containing all information concerning the Old Ones.

BARGA

The big guys?

DECKARD

And the means to summon them.

BARGA

So it’s deep shit if someone got their hands on them.

DECKARD

Yep.

BARGA

Doesn’t explain how the Minotaur showed up.

DECKARD

I’m confused about that too.

BARGA

Do you think the gas mask was just off when he told you that word?

DECKARD

He was very clear and direct before the break-in. I don’t know what they’ve got to do with anything.

Wait, what about the creature that Alpha 00 fought some time before?

BARGA

The fish thing? You know the S.Y.M.P.A.N. guys. Shady folks. Hey, you think they’re up to something.

DECKARD

They’re weird and it’s worth questioning, but I don’t think they’d cross the line.

BARGA

You’d never know.

DECKARD

(sighs and sips her coffee)

Right. Thanks.

BARGA

Of course.

(pause)

If the Necronimocon is public domain that means…

DECKARD

(raises her eyebrows)

It’s usable by any anyone.

(standing up and heading for the door)

Follow me!

CUT TO:

EXT. POLICE STATON – NIGHT

Deckard and Barga heading to their car.

DECKARD

The Necronomicon is also according to fiction, expandable as the myth itself.

That way, anyone who wishes to contribute their own stance on the mythology can do so without altering the continuity or rules!

BARGA

But Deckard, it’s a piece of fiction.

DECKARD

(laughs)

Since people could fly, I’ve been taught to never limit the possibilities, my friend! You should do the same!

BARGA

(starting the engine)

God help us…

The car drives off. CUT TO:

EXT. POE CITY – NIGHT

Inside their car, Jones and Parker are having a conversation while Parker has his donuts and coffee.

JONES

You sure they’d believe in an over doze?

PARKER

Yeah, why?

JONES

I don’t know, man…prostitutes get a pretty bad rap as it is. Now say they OD and…well, wonder what will happen to the brothas and sistas who work with her?

PARKER

Come on, you know the chief is better than that.

JONES

I hope.

PARKER

Besides, until they get what’s the deal with her, over doze will be as good as it could be.

JONES

Yeah, but for the press to see that and just roll with it?

PARKER

Relax, dead man, they’re a flappable bunch. When that freak Sicarus took over the anti-crusade, most are afraid they’d be supporting what looks like a cyber-terrorist to them. So of course they’d shut up.

JONES

I’d like to beat the shit out of that little fucker.

PARKER

Me too.

RADIO

All units, all units, homicide in the local park on the east side, please respond.

JONES

Again?!

PARKER

Okay, now I’m worried.

(starting the engine)

Tell me it’s not a serial killer.

JONES

Can’t promise anything.

They speed up on the highway, the sirens ringing. None of the cars move or even budge. Parker, angry, barks at them, and decides to pass them, only to find a truck coming straight for them. Panicking, the wheels flip and the car jumps into the air and crashes down onto a construction site.

Back on the highway, there is not truck. FADE TO BLACK.

The screen is still black as we Byron’s voice. It is mechanically altered.

BYRON

Where…e…e…?

A figure comes out the dark, dragging multiple chains of wires and other machineries on its body. It looks at us, and the Sicarius mask is now a living cybernetic organism attached to Byron’s face, the machinery a byproduct of its growth, the new skin. Overtaking Byron’s very own into a cyborg monstrosity. He screams in horror as he sees and realizes what happened.

A needle comes out of nowhere and pokes one of his eyes, literally swallowing it inside its tubes. He continues screeching in pain, but his throat starts choking him and pollution leaks out of his vocal cords, fully new and mute. The remaining of his skin, flesh and bone is torn bit by bit until he is nothing but a machine.

CUT TO:

Yoshiko pounding and screaming against invisible glass, surrounded by nothing but darkness. She reaches for match, for her chalk, for her sword and guns, but finds nothing, and keeps on screaming with her eyes wide open as we pan away from her and cut to:

Juan runs as fast as he could while bombs are raided from every corner. He sees a child, carries it on its shoulder, and runs, but the child turns to straw and drops on him. He trips, and sees the cause of all this destruction, of the countless deaths of his homeland – Alpha 00 towers over him and malevolently reaches for him as fade to black and fade in quickly to:

Elizabeth being strapped on a chair by her alien patients, now a group of animalistic monstrosities running amok and sabotaging her life’s work as they gather the surgical tools, shave her head, strip her naked, lock her in a cage while still strapped, and descend on her. CUT TO:

An entire crowd of faceless people in Greek uniforms assemble around a gladiator arena while the Minotaur is locked in the middle, the crowd throwing stones at the ground, breaking every section until he has no more left and falls as he is being at by thousands of arrows. FADE TO BLACK and FADE TO:

Sol covering her ears from all the sounds she is hearing. She is in agony from all the cries and kneels on the ground.

SOL

Stop it…please, stop

SOMEBODY MAKE IT STOP!

PLEASE!

HELP!

I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE! PLEASE! HELP!

MAKE IT STOPPPPPPPPPpppp………

Her final scream is like a tape recorder as she finally stops and looks around her. She is in a church, and in front of her, stands an old priest.

BORG

(kindly)

Hello, child.

CUT TO BLACK.

THE END
