A poem about an unhealthy relationship

We both knew in our heart of hearts

That once I called

You would come

Eyes wide, ready for me

You know as well as I know

That lately I haven't been alone in my sheets

Your not so stupid

Than to believe me when I say you're all that matters me

I tell my little lies

But you see through these hazel eyes

That likely tomorrow, at my favorite time

A quarter past three

Inside another woman is where I'm gonna be

Yet you give yourself to me

You give your heart, soul, and body to me

I wonder as I watch you sleep

How can you love a man like me?

Perhaps you're insane

Or maybe, just maybe

You, my masochist

Are in love with the pain
