Justin Case the rich criminal lawyer was completely another man when out of his office; he had the ability to turn to a sarcastic, humorous and friendly being from a serious, non-laughing and professional lawyer. He was often referred to as the chameleon by his friends for obvious reasons.

He was fat, with a French beard, a mole under his left eye and chubby cheeks, his wife was just like him just without the beard and the mole; her name Muriel Case.

They had a daughter named Hope Case who was about 2 years old at the time when the family went to a hill station. Justin had made the arrangements for lodging at a lodge which was built in the 19th century by the Britishthey checked in the hotel at about 3:30 in the morning.

Justin who felt the urgent need to go to the bathroom rushed terribly to pull the door pointed by the boy only to reveal a 2x2 foot chamber with a western style loo. However he sat on the loo adjusting his fat figure which pushed the wooden walls on both his sides which made a creaking noise. As he relaxed and let his dinner out he opened his eyes to reveal a big hairy spider on the wall in front of him at about a gap of 3 inches from his nose.

The one thing that Justin was afraid of on the face of the earth were spiders even little house spiders had the potential to turn the chameleon blue and this was a spider about the size of a tarantula with large blue eyes and not two eyes but four of them the eye looked directly at Justin’s eyes which were by now welling up with tears he couldn’t move not because he was blue but because of the size of the chamber.

He screamed for his wife several times as Muriel came running “open the door Justin”

No words returned to this except the sound of the latch as the door was pulled open by Muriel she discovered a naked blue man sitting on the loo with his fat squeezed to the walls of the chamber.

“Spider” said a pale Justin

“Where?”

“It left” said Justin

The next morning they checked out of the hotel to move to another hotel on the same cliff. This is the only instance where a chameleon was afraid of a spider.
