silence so loud, it's deafening

Silence so loud, that it’s deafening,

Can’t even hear myself, think.

Everyday I seem to miss you more,

You’re perfect and I’m just out of sync.

Blood drips from my broken heart,

Never knew that it could hurt me so much.

I finally found the loneliest place on earth,

It’s anywhere where you’re not at my side.

I miss the feeling of your skin on mine,

Without your warmth, I’ll surely freeze to death.

My soul cries out for you, all the time,

Before it dies, with a weak and final whine.

You broke my heart in one swift motion,

Unleashed a tsunami of emotion.

Sinking and drowning in this ocean,

I was your man ‘til this demotion.

You took the color wheel with you,

Cause now I only see in black and white.

Our apartment’s empty, that’s just not right,

All on my own, not a fan of this solitude.

Blood drips from my broken heart,

Never knew that it could hurt me so much.

I finally found the loneliest place on earth,

It’s anywhere where you’re not at my side.
