Have you ever felt
The throbbing in your head,
Sound
Or the pounding of your heart
As it breaks through your chest?
  So much sound
Have you ever been able to see
Only what’s in front of you?
A dark light
Have you ever heard the ticking
Of the nearest clock
Focus
Or the oozing cascade
Of blood through your veins?
Fight
Have you ever felt powerful
But still so weak?
Shatter
Have you ever been scared
Of the empty world around you
Run
Or close your eyes
In the dead of night
Try
When you’re still so awake?
Be free
Have you ever wondered what it’s like
  A sole purpose
To be me?

When the wind’s drained out of you
Fly
Take a step forward.
Feel the white
Never stop fighting.
See the blue
No matter how hard they come.
Know
And then
It all
You give up.
