I'm looking for the rain
That only comes at night
Falling from the sky in gentle torrents of light

I'm looking for the moon
Because it feels like its always gone too soon

The days are never long enough
And the nights keep cutting shorter
A pretty penny for each thought I have
Might save up to make a quarter

I'll spend it on the seeds of tomorrow
I'll dig up and rip out the roots that thrive in my sorrow

Feed my soul
The food from below
Teach  me when to hold on tight
And when it's time to let go

Life is a gift
Death is a mercy
So what is tomorrow,
If not an elaborate conspiracy?
