Autums fall

This spetember i started to visit a cafe daily after school, i don't know why I did it, probably from the unbearable boredom of being home. When days passed I started to notice a girl who also was at the Cafe everyday, sometimes earlier, sometimes later than me. Except for Thursdays, she never came on Thursday. I haven't figured out why til this day. When september was wrapping up being at home became impossible. My parents were always arguing, often arguments became straight up fights, i mean plates and glasses breaking fights. What i didn't enjoy a specially was that they wanted me to choose a side, that drove me crazy. the cafe bacame the only place i could escape that. And by then became of notice that i can't take my mind of that girl. She was what i was thinking while drinking coffee, she was the one that I thought about in school, she was the one i thought of in my dreams. The first days of October i was gathering the courage to talk to her. One day I was going through her table and all I managed to say was an awkward "hi-i". So you could say that i never actually gathered enough courage to have a conversation. Then came the strangest day of my life. I was as usually sitting at the furthest table possible. The girl was nowhere to be found, although it was Monday and at mondays she was at the café the same time I was. Then a woman i have never seen came into the café. She sat where the girl used to usually sit. 5 minutes passed and the woman started crying heavily. But i guess i was the only to notice beacause nobody came to her and asked if she was feeling well. I couldn't get rid of a bad feeling. So i decided to go to her and ask if she's alright. I came up to her and aske - are you feeling fine mam. Through her weeping she mumbled- I am certainly not, just an hour ago i found out that my daughter died in a car accident, so no I'm feeling awful. I felt my legs go numb and i almost fell, but managed to grab the edge of the table and stay on my feet. I didn't need to hear anymore, I just ran out of the café almost crying myself. I ran a good hundred meters and suddenly bumped into something. Only as inwas getting up i realized that it was a person i had so rudly ran into. Then i took a closer look at that person and knew, those eyes, eyes i could never mistake for someone else. It was her, and the feeling i had could not be explained by simple words, it was something out of this world, it was something magical. As i smiled i knew that this was the cruel and yet phenomenal destinies work. I guess she felt the same as of that day i never left her, was always by her side. And even now watching from the far above i am by her side. by Leslie Hurris
