Today, I will not think you; I’ve already told myself,

Today, I will think, instead of somebody else.

Today, I will not grieve; it’s not like you even care,

Though you stand in front of me; you’re not really there.

Today is Sunday night and since Friday I’ve been breathing,

In this solemn air as deception I am feeling.

And it’s all because of you and your clueless mind,

You are similar to them; you’re not one of a kind.

You’re dry, cold and distant,

Yet you can be charming but only for an instant.

I wonder where you are and if you’re thinking of me,

Obviously you’re not; it’s not so hard to see.

And that’s okay because I choose to do the same,

But frankly, I must say you’re much better at this game.

Now get away I will erase; my heart is used to feeling pain,

Leave my mind, leave my days; your memory is driving me insane.

Now I am brainstorming how exactly I’ll pull through,

I don’t know about tomorrow but today; I won’t think of you.
