Close my eyes and drift away,

I find my comfort under the moonlight.

Shatter my mind into a billion pieces,

Put me into a comatose state.

Wake up to the sound of the waves,

Crashing up against the shoreline.

Sunlight glistens off the white sand beaches,

As your favorite song plays on radio.

Cotton candy clouds mix together at sunset,

And the sky turns into a watercolor painting.

The color wheel blends together like a smoothie,

As the citrus moon takes center stage.

All the stars in the universe, shine down on us,

The Milky Way band stretches endlessly across the sky.

Shooting stars rain down above our heads,

Bring an umbrella next time there’s a meteor shower.

The skyline has never looked better,

Glowing monoliths shoot up into the stratosphere.

Christmas decorations never came down,

Icicles downtown in the middle of summer.

You look so pretty in the neon night,

Noble gas makes your eyes shine like gold.

You play my heartstring like a guitar,

Hitting every note and chord just right.

Close my eyes and drift away,

I find my comfort under the moonlight.

Shatter my mind into a billion pieces,

Put me into a comatose state.

Never want to leave this utopian dreamland,

I can get lost inside of the spiraling city streets.

I need more than 24 hours in a day,

Cause I never get to spend enough time here.
