Alone

Another rough day,

the turmoil of feeling alone.

Your mind plays itself like a fiddle,

and works you like a puppet.

You try to come up with happy things,

the “good times” of days past.

But they don't mean much right now,

without losing any of their sentiment.

You wanna change, you really do,

but what goes wrong?

Your heart has dangling strings,

used too many times to hold

the words of others with any weight.

Though you still look for those

that you don't want to lose.

Your souls' tears' flow down a face,

that looks with sincerity into

the agonies of having no one..

“I cant change”

“Why would anyone love me?”

“ Is my life worth living?”

These thoughts cross your mind.

Your denial of inevitable acceptance

is what keeps you from using that knife

you keep by your bed.

You don't even know why its there.

You'll just be too chicken to do it.

No, you're doomed to a life

of futile existence.

You'll always be Alone.
