Aaliyah has had this experience before but will she get out the same way. This is a very very short thriller and I might continue later if enough people like and comment so. Signing Out, Jane Doe

Cliffhanger

There I was again, I just hoped it would end like last time. But no such luck, I was on a Forbidden Trail today and nobody ever goes on here. It was called the Forbidden Trail for a reason. My hands were getting sore, they were giving up. I would never have thought this day would go this terribly.
A Few Hours Ago
I fluttered awake, feeling refreshed. Kylee was next to me, at her desk, studying. Why was my twin such a nerd."
"Mornin' Aaliyah," Kylee said, without looking up.
"Hey," I said, stretching.
I blew for Alpha, who gladly came. A pup of an Affenpinscher came cantering towards me. Before I could even think, Alpha was attacking me with licks and I was full of giggles. Kylee glared at me but I could see the spark in her eyes. Yarn, however, looked at us with pure hate. Her searching eyes looked through our souls. She slinked in and out of Kylee's legs, purring a gentle hum.
Looking at both Alpha and Yarn, I could see much more then species. Alpha, as a purebred, was beautiful. From her sleek fur to her lolling tongue, I paid good money for her but even I didn't expect her to be this nice. But fierce as she was, Yarn could beat her any day.
Ironic enough, Yarn is blind. Found on the streets, not only surviving but thriving. Clever, feisty, and sensible, Yarn was an incredible cat. I could even notice that and I am not very fond of cats.
Alpha whimpered as I grabbed my hiking backpack. She knew where I was going.
"Come back soon, you too Aaliyah."
I stopped with confusion, I was the only one going. I then saw that Yarn has somehow gotten in front of me, getting ready to leave. I told ya', weird cat we have. I gave a quick farewell and got on my way.
"Be safe Aaliyah, don't make it like last time."
"Last time" was a bit of a situation. I got stuck.....on a cliff. I wouldn't be here if not for a few travelers. Let's just say I would've gotten more then scarred hands. Even thinking about the situation made my hands sore.
My next mistake was terrible, let me tell you I'm not that smart, just adventurous. I looked up from my map to see the small arrows pointing to two trails. One was the Forbidden Trail and the other Detour Trail. Both were lovely trails but I felt the rush of adventure through me as I went where the Forbidden Trail pointed. I started my long hike to the mountain. Glistens of sweat covered my face. I stopped to find the wall of rock in between me and the perfect view. I started getting my equipment ready. While getting it ready a stray jagged rock pierced my skin. I flinched and patched the wound up. That rock would be the end of me, I knew it. I checked the rope over and over again. I was ready.
It was smooth for the first few feet up, a smooth and steady pace. I pulled myself up rock by rock. At certain times I felt a slight tugging from my rope. I told myself it was the wind. When I finally got up to the beautiful spot I breathed the fresh mountain air. I was getting my camera ready when I heard a faint snap and a sharp tug. I waved my arms for balance but it was too late. I was on the edge, only holding on by my scarred hands. I could feel one of my hands get sliced by another rock. Impulsively, I pulled my hand back. I could tell I had made a huge mistake and my hand hurt too much to grab back on. Even the wind seemed to fight against me. I could feel the rush of wind making me sway back and forth, threateningly teasing me. It pushed and pulled on my hanging body. I slowly started feeling the weight of my body kick into my one hand. It was too much and too hard, my hand fell.....and so did I.
