It was only 6pm and the sky had already darkened. I was walking alone back home from my first tuition class. Walking fast with sweaters and mufflers was abit difficult but I was getting late. The road was silent and I could hardly see any people. As I was walking by, a huge tree with a red round mark seized my attention. Later I realized I was staring at the tree. I could feel sweat rolling down from my forehead and my throat was all dry. I had no time to think about anything else because I was getting late and I had to reach home as soon as possible for I had to go to a family party. I heard someone calling my name so I looked back. An old man with wrinkles all over his face and a stick in his hand was standing far behind me. He smiled and waved at me. I did not recognize him but waved him back and walked fast.

After walking for 15 minutes I again caught myself staring at a tree and it had the same red round mark. At first I was amused but I could feel my heartbeat beat faster. I walked for 5 minutes more and heard someone calling my name. I looked back and saw the same old man with that smile. This time he was a little nearer and this was scary. I ran as fast as I could. My whole body was covered with sweat and my feet were numb.  I again came across the same tree with red round mark. It was like I reached the same place again and again. I heard a voice from right behind my head and this time I did not look back. I just ran as fast as I could and not feel my legs at all. Finally I reached main road where there were people and vehicles. I felt a little relief but my heartbeat continued to beat faster.  I took a bus and reached home by 7pm.

Next day I walked back home from my tuition class with some of my friends. To my surprise I found the road which I walked yesterday was a jungle. There was no road.
