Fragile is my heart

Hanging in mid-air

Could this be the start

Of something I can’t bear?

Disposable like paper

And fragile like glass,

How much longer is the wait

For these things to pass?

Thorns inside my veins

It’s something that I feel,

There’s no tea or remedy

That could help me heal.

I’ve lost the things I love;

I wonder what went wrong,

It takes more than words

To actually be strong.

Yes, fragile like the glass

My heart can break; I am aware

I am wondering one thing…

Can a glass heart ever be repaired?
