My thoughts scatter about
Like dirty laundry on the floor
Trapping me inside
It's become a siege in this war

Battle of lost love
Who can ever win?
Surrounded by the voices that convict us of our sins

To hope?
Or to wonder?
Is there any relation?
I tore my heart from my chest
And wore it as a sleeve decoration

Waste not my love
I have plenty of time
The clock never runs out
My thoughts are worth nothing more than a dime

Spend it carefully
One day you'll run dry

Hopefully soon, is never soon enough
A broken heart is merely a diamond in the rough

Caught between beauty and pain
You can't beat a cheater at his favorite game

Bittersweet symphonies sing a tune so out of date
A moment to ponder
An eternity to contemplate
Why is it becoming so easy to suffocate?

A picture in leather
My wallet carries your face
A smile so sad
Yet you always were my happy place

Sunshine and roses, daisies and sun

Oh how I never knew, missing you would be this fun
