There was a moment
That lasted all of eternity
A rope of red
And a drop so shallow
Everything was bright
My world began to tremble
I grasped for the hope I had thrown away
Somehow it found its way
Back to me
I was screaming without a sound
As the floor cracked in two
And then I realized finally
That this wasn't meant to be
Another day for tomorrow
Because now wasn't for me
Once I had thought I needed to stop, because it was too late
But now I find,
That I need to stop
Before its too late
So I stood back up
Removed the rope from around my neck
Looked evil herself in the eye
And I whispered,
You won't get me tonight

Very well penned. Such an expressive piece.
It calls sometimes, and sometimes it's hard to tell if it's you it's calling to. Not always easy to turn away from that opening that splits apart in front of you, but good job for doing so, FirePlague.
