As your voice level grew, my skin turned black and blue

For the choice to bid adue - I never followed through;

I swallowed all fears yet what escaped were the tears

Shaped by my captors rule.

You said frigile birds were never meant to travel

Beautiful creatures were only ever meant to be keepers.

Is that why my wings were clipped

Only to be placed in your conquest manuscript?

Countless days, endless nights. Will I ever be granted my rights;

The freedoms I dream for will sooner be granted to the heathens

Before you, a swarthy man with tricks up his sleeve deem it worthy of me.
