Verse:

Afraid to look up, 'cause I know what I'll see,

there's a concrete sombrero hanging over me

It's balanced on such a fine invisible ledge,

and the slightest of shoves will send it over the edge

Pre-Chorus:

to crash down and flatten me,

my hopes and dreams, never to be

Verse:

One event away from being turned to dust

Everything I once wanted will start to rust,

scattered on the ground like yesterday's news

forgotten, neglected, while bad turns the screws

Repeat Pre-Chorus"

Chorus:

A dark cloud hanging over my head

Force of will battles hard-as-steel lead

The storm will break thunder in my ear

Trying like hell to not give in to the fear

Verse:

Time is the enemy, and time is patient

I'll soon wonder where me happiness went

It's balanced on such a fine invisible ledge,

and the slightest of shoves will send it over the edge

Repeat Pre-Chorus:

Repeat Chorus:

END
