Pressure

 

Pressure building,

rising high,

too much pressure;

don’t know why,

Throws me down,

holds me under,

what to do

I can but wonder.

Pressure deep,

getting deeper,

winds around me

like a creeper,

vines entangle,

strangle-hold,

will to struggle

starts to fold.

Head is bowed down,

start to shake,

from this nightmare

I can’t wake.

Show no weakness,

tears to hide,

never know

who’s on your side.

Pressure growing,

will not stop;

sometime soon

I’m gonna drop.
