You say,

I don’t care,

You repeat it,

Over and over again,

Until you think it’s the truth.

The truth is,

You do care,

You care so much,

But you ignore it,

Because it hurts to care that much.

To care about everything,

About school,

What others think,

Anything everything and anything,

So you push back,

You saying I don’t care,

You push people away,

And you try not to care,

Until you do care,

Until that perfect lie comes crashing down.

People don’t realize,

That you care so much,

And that you wish you didn’t,

That you could ignore it,

Because it always leads to pain.

So you say,

I don’t care,

You believe it,

Until you do care,

Then everything comes crashing down.
