A A A | A A A

You'll be okay
It'll be alright

All of these lies
I would've told you anything
If it would've kept you alive

Now the days stretch thin
And the nights never last for long
Now I hum the broken tune
That used to be a song

Your name in my mind
Echoes into a strange foreign slur
Soon I won't know the face
That I used to see in a blur

Maybe one day
I will wake up
Hopefully one day
I won't
Who's to say
There is any difference

Who am I to say
Which is better?
Between sloppy lines of an overdue letter
I can only see the white in between
Spaces of silence
Nothing ever is as it seems

Take it with a grain of salt

I burned down the mill

Looking down at the world below

Everything appears so small
from my window sill
