Everything is so complicated now,

Can’t find my way out of the corn maze.

The summer sun falls below the horizon,

As the cold winter wind begins to blow.

The more that I change, the more I stay the same,

Didn’t switch discs, I’m still in the game.

We fall apart as the leaves fall to the ground,

And all of us die, without making a sound.

Taking everything apart piece by piece,

Splitting my DNA to remove you from my life.

It all crumbles and falls apart in mid October,

Rain, rain, go away and leave me at peace.

Erasing a decade’s worth of history,

Never expected it to end this bitterly.

When they called, I picked up the phone,

You don’t want us anymore, it’s not overblown.

You were supposed to be my brother,

But you don’t give me the time of day.

The fuck did you have go and do that for,

Didn’t even want to meet me halfway.

You’re on earth and I’m in the stratosphere,

Nearsighted, so I can’t see how far you are.

Your aura begins to fade into nothingness,

Now down the middle of my heart, is a deep scar.

I see our bridge ignite and catch fire,

Plumes of smoke rise and cause a lunar eclipse.

Under the full moon is where friendship comes to die,

This final message is a full stop, no room for ellipsis.
