Poison running through my veins,

Anger keeping me in chains.

Am I meant to feel like this?

I’ve drank the poison from your kiss.

You have me bitter; in despair,

I hate the fact that you are there.

Haunting me as you please,

Your memory will never cease.

You’ve done me wrong (it’s so unfair),

I’m angry now when I shouldn’t care.

But I can’t help this rising tide,

You took my heart in for a ride.

I hate the thought that you’re okay,

You’re doing well, to my dismay.

You should be hurting just like me,

Instead you’re fine, from what I see.

I guess I’ll wait; it’s all I can,

You poor excuse of a man.

You’re bound to fail, at least someday,

With hearts, you fool, you shouldn’t play.
