Unblemished

The open sea dividing

You from me.

Tide turning,

Waves receding;

Sand unblemished,

Unmarked,

Pure.

I’ll press my foot,

Make a mark,

Footsteps going

Left and right;

Turning circles,

Kicking dust,

Particles of grit,

Of glass.

So much space,

A canvas

For my rampant

Dire art;

I cover so much distance,

Tear the purity

Apart.

My presence now

Will linger

Until the tide

Turns back

To wash away

My turmoil,

Leaving

Clearness

In its place.

The sand,

Unspoiled,

Unmarked

Once more;

Ready for

Someone else to

Draw out

Turbulent

Emotions.
