A little Faustian type poem I just put together. I tried to be rather lyrical and rhyming to add the element of humor, as well as tell the story straight through. I think it turned out well. Please
interpret as you will,, but it's pretty straight forward. Hoping for some humorous and insightful comments.

Twisted in madness, shadows danced in the light. Insanity’s smile lingered in spite.

Horned little imps, chaotic and keen. Mischievous spirits dark and obscene.

The sweet tender words of an angel parades through the ear

Tickles the lobes and transports you here.

Into fantasy, myth, fiction or fact. A moment un-noticed gives no time to react.

“Trust me.” You hear from the red layered lips. The shiny adornments do all to distract.

From the pen in your hand, signing away. Your life into Hell; One day you must pay.

The moment is gone with a sulfuric puff. A contract was made for your spiritual stuff.

“Ah,” you say with a grin on your face. As the money comes in for the talent you bring.

The trade-off you made, made empty space. For the cars, the house, and great sparkly things.

The road goes on, becoming traveled and dusty. The body you had becomes old and rusty.

Mind falters greatly, regretting the past. Then, out of the blue The Great Red Imp appears at last.

The begging and pleading don’t bode to well. The Devil’s here to drag you to Hell.
