Manufactured Reality

-

"Life," "prostitution," and "sex"

__is all this world is made of

And just when you think you've lost your mind

You're only living life

And just when you think you've found some one

__that you can call a "wife"

She's only a call girl

__hired to be yours

And just when you think you've found true love

You're only having sex

When the taunting pain

__tempts you to lose control

You stare down the barrel of a crack pipe

Ready to get high one more time

But it's not just "one more time"

You find yourself lost in a state of madness

As you become a complete wreck

I've lost thee ability to love

Thee ability to know the truth

And thee ability to score

Even for just one more fuck

There is no luck for my wellbeing

My world is a floppy beach ball

Kicked around in the dirt

Having feelings would only hurt

I know if I light up this rock

Everything I do have will be gone

The barrel of a gun

__looks like a more simpler place to look

But still not worth doing

I don't have the power to take my life

And I don't have the power to use successfully

But what do I do

__with this crack in my hands?

And this pipe?

And brillo?

And pusher?

I wish there was an easier way

To throw this all away

It's only a dime bag

__and $10 worth of paraphernalia

But that's $20

I can't get that back

Maybe I could sell it to

__the dope man?
