Un-Jessicated

-

I lost my desire to have you for my own

Our ships have passed

I'm O.K. with letting you go

I can't be your "him"

I understand that very well

Your brown hair

And taunting smiles

__don't exactly chase me anymore

As well as the look in your eyes

I'm so over you, I forgot what color they are

I cannot get you to like me

As much as I wanted you to

Your silence has put me out of the mood

I don't even lust after you

God doesn't want me to be with you, I guess

So I have put my love for you to rest

As the campfire in my soul was put out

By your constant silence

But so what?

I should have never expected you and me

__to have become anything

I was just in love with how

__you made me feel

I obsessed over my attachment

__I know that now

But it's time for me to move on

And forget how I feel

The things on my mind

Are changing with the times

And you are just a memory

Somebody never mine
