Briefing to all employees of OTT by Terry Fied, Chief Executive Officer…

The festive season is once again upon us and I wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year
Whilst I do not wish to dampen high spirits at this time of year, as Chief Executive, I have a duty to remind you of the protocol to be followed should staff decide to participate in parties with fellow colleagues.

I would warn you of the adverse impact on the reputation of the company, should claims of inappropriate behaviour be made and subsequently reported in the press and/or media.
So here is a reminder of the revised company policy on this issue…

• Due to its intoxicating effects, Alcohol should not be consumed either on company premises or at other venues where colleagues gather for their annual Xmas celebration. I do not have to remind you of the effect that Alcohol has on reducing inhibitions, thus increasing the possibility of consequential inappropriate conduct taking place, whether intentional or not.

• No music or dancing to be allowed due to the possibility of bodily contact, either accidental or deliberate.

• Touching of any kind what-so-ever, whether intentional or unintentional is strictly forbidden. The arrangement of seating must meet company requirements of minimum 25 centre-metres space between each seat, to prevent any ‘brushing’ of limbs.

• Do not give compliments of any kind on the physical appearance of fellow colleagues. The company dress code should be followed at all times. As a reminder, female cocktail dresses should be knee length or longer, with cleavage well covered. Formal or smart casual male dress-code requires a long sleeved shirt to be worn fastened to the neck, tie optional.

• The buffet table should be effectively managed by a nominated person to prevent queues forming to alleviate possible accidental touching, brushing or bumping.

• Under no circumstances is mistletoe to be allowed in any venue, and no kissing, whether consensual or otherwise, should take place.

• Cctv camera/audio coverage of all events to be arranged.

As Chief Executive Officer I have vicarious responsibility for all employees in this regard. Failure to adhere to the above policy could result in disciplinary action, including summary dismissal.

I hope you enjoy your Christmas celebrations.
