Christmas Day Is Over

Christmas Day is over,

The presents are all gone;

Some received with gratitude,

Some just frowned upon.

Christmas Day is over,

And Mom needs a lie-in treat,

Getting that big dinner done --

She was rushed off her feet.

Christmas Day is over

And our waistlines are so thick;

All that extra food and drink

Has made us feel quite sick.

Christmas Day is over,

The fridge is really full

And there’s a box of crackers

That we never got to pull.

Christmas Day is over

But now we must prepare,

We’ve got another party due --

New Year’s Eve is almost here!
