The Snowman Reaper.

Out my window sits a snowman. Smile created from stone, arms made from dead limbs, and a hat placed upon his head. Its eyes were taken. By what, I don’t know but holes are in its head now. Though I watch him, there is something about him that makes my skin crawl. It’s not the smile, the arms, the hat, or his hollow eye sockets. There is something more. I know his heart is frozen if there is one.
Alive?
I don’t know. As days of winter go by, more of his smile fades away as each stone is taken. His arms go too. And the hat is no longer there. It’s as if he is dying as each day makes him grow older. A masterpiece I had made but now he is slowly disappearing without a smile to give. A wave of his arm that id directed to me. The gift of seeing me through his eyes. The hat that gives him a sense of fashion.
Do I cry?
No.
Do I have feelings for him?
No.
It’s as if I don’t care about him when the winter goes and he’s no longer sitting there. A rude thing to do but I always know that he’ll be there once again when next winter comes around.
