Pain is my only friend 

 

She's there when no one else is 

 

She's holding me in her arms

 

Stealing my breath and clutching my heart

 

She lays with me in the bed

 

And whispers to me as I sleep

 

She drags me down 

 

To her dark world 

 

Because she doesn't want to be alone 

 

I can't escape 

 

She runs her fingers through my hair

 

And holds me close 

 

She lacks a human warmth 

 

Her touch sends shivers of cold down my spine 

 

Her arms are tight around my chest

 

She doesn't want to let go of me 

 

But I want her to hold me forever 

 

A cold, dead embrace 

 

Between life and death

 

Happiness and sadness 

 

For one cannot exist without the other
