Collaboration with Hullabaloo22:

What Happened?

Last week it seemed to be quite mild, warm I guess you’d say;

a t shirt was quite adequate to keep the wind at bay.

Then from somewhere it did come, that sheerly bitter chill,

the icy fingers cut right through, make you feel quite ill.

If it wasn’t quite so sudden, if it changed slowly over time,

the frost and I could get along, it’d not be such a crime.

But now I sit here freezing cold, feeling quite forlorn,

wondering if the time will come when I can again feel warm.

'Oh, if the weather outside is frightful, not comfy or delightful,

there's only one place to go, where it's not nut-shriveling with snow.

Somewhere with warmth, tan babes, liquor, and tropical breezes,

not like here where it's damn cold, and all junk freezes,

and you then have to use a hair dryer,

and curl up naked beside a roaring fire,

and if you can learn only one thing, know

this, snow it blows, snow it blows, snow it blows!'
