Paramour, you’ve gone away,

You blocked my number just for a day.

My heart would panic; but not anymore,

I’m not the woman I was before.

The one who’d do as you request,

Your manipulations were the best.

But now I see in another light,

Through your eyes in black and white.

How I would beg you, how I would plead,

And I would cry: “return to me”.

But recently I have uncovered,

That my dignity I have recovered.

And though I love you, perhaps forever,

I wish you luck on your endeavor.

I begged the lord, I begged the skies,

To stop the hurt and all my cries.

You always leave, that’s what you do,

And then return without a clue.

Not anymore; I swear I’m through,

It’s safe to say; I’m over you.
