As You Are

The supermodels leave me cold,

the men who think they’re cool;

they look so false, conceited,

not attractive as a rule.

What about those athletes,

as they stretch and strike a pose?

Do they think that they look great,

with them my eyes dispose.

And those that think themselves a hunk,

they leave me feeling sick,

with their undulating muscles

that they think look rather slick.

I’m not interested in plastic,

the poser kind of life,

most of it accomplished by

a skilful surgeon’s knife.

The person that dwells in my dreams,

someone all too real,

someone who I just can trust

to tell just how I feel.

Pretty packages are nothing,

you beat them all by far,

no one can compare to you,

I love you as you are!
