A A A

It has been a year since I last felt your touch,

I didn’t quite realize that it had been that much.

We always break up because of a lie,

How many times have we said goodbye?

The three weeks without you; I was going insane,

My poem “Broken” depicts well my pain.

That was for you, I wrote it last year,

November 19th as I was drowning in fear.

That you wouldn’t return; you wouldn’t be back,

But letting you go was the valor I lacked.

I’ve kept you on standby until the very today,

Our many "goodbyes" haven’t been easy to say.

And now our farewell was one that’s unkind,

If you’re out of sight; will you be out of mind?

Today, I don’t hurt, but tomorrow I’ll miss,

I cannot be yours because I’m already his.
