LET US NOT FORGET

Only now when wisdom wipes away the veil of ignorance, and lucidness and clarity join forces in a clarion call.

Do those who made the ultimate of sacrifices still, with glistened eyes belittle not, achievements of their fall?

And we that hoist ourselves above the bodies of the many, and live our lives on crimson carpets of the sacred dead.

Can we if called to arms to fight a noble battle, boldly walk along the path of courage, where hopes and dreams were quickly shed.

A mournful flower blooms within the hearts of goodness, illuminating footsteps of those that passed this way.

And never knew the joys of growing old amongst their brethren, or lived to see the setting sun at close of play.

I shut my eyes and lift my head up high upon eleventh hour in remembrance, and bless the gift that you have given me.

A land of green and pleasant country forged by heroes, where children of a golden age walk free.
