His weary, sunken eyes gazed through teh dusty windshield; the humming of the old Chevy's engine cut off. Sitting in the parking lot, his hundred-dollar habit in hand, half empty and beckoning, he reached for the for the volume on his radio, "Last, Last Time" grew louder, drowning out the crying baby echoing in his head. Glancing down to a pile of papers scattered over the seat, the magority of them stamped with big, bold, red FINAL NOTICE. His face rested in his hands, tears brimmed in his eyes; his burden was back breaking. Moving his hands to the glove box and removed a .45 from it, he gripped it tightly as it sat on his thigh. Memories surfaced and haunted him. His lower lip quivered as a single tear rolled down his cheek as he moved the .45 beneath his chin; his finger on the trigger. The vision of his woman taking off with a friend of his; Social Services about to take his kids; each situation driving him closer to the edge as tears cascaded down his cheeks. The barrel of the .45 pressed firmly as he hit rock bottom, sitting in the parking lot with his finger on the trigger...
