I’ll fall into the curse

Of the lyrics

Every verse

And I’ll stay trapped

In the memories

Of years past

You can’t shake me

Even if I beg you to

For my mind

Is lost in a line or two

And when I come back

I’ll never know

As the radio

Seems to have me

In a stranglehold

The songs they whisper

They shout and they moan

Of the path, I wonder

With no real place to go

A wanderer finds safety

In a Wildcatters words

For it is a spell

Of protection

On the soul
