Poem by: Mike S.
Verse:
Shadows obscure the horizon,
shadows cover our eyes
Shadows darken our doorstep,
shadows confuse idiot or wise
Verse:
Monsters hide in shadows,
monsters hide in plain sight,
Monsters in the darkness,
Monsters in the blinding light:
Pre-Chorus:
We've learned everything,
yet we've learned nothing too
Chorus:
We're in a headlong rush going nowhere,
the sun doesn't light our way
We're in a headlong rush going nowhere,
Never again, to see the light of day
Verse:
We're the best and the brightest around,
sure of our sense of direction,
yet we're the orphans lost and alone
Towards our sad future, we stumble and run
Repeat Pre-Chorus:
Repeat Chorus:
Verse:
In such a hurry, don't use caution or care
We ignore our hard-won history,
who's lessons beg to teach, beware
Blindly, learning nothing, next what will we see?
Repeat Pre-Chorus:
Repeat Chorus:
